Nordson Corporation has continued to increase sales and service capabilities in Greater China for its Polymer Processing Systems range of products by making four new appointments.

The additions to the Nordson PPS China team will support customers of Nordson’s BKG underwater and water ring pelletizing systems; Extrusion Dies Industries™ dies for film, sheet, and coating; Kreyenborg™ melt filtration systems, pumps, and valves; and Xaloy screws and barrels for extrusion and injection molding.

“The four individuals now joining our Nordson PPS China team together represent more than 50 years of experience serving the industrial equipment market,” said Edward Luo, general sales manager. “They will increase our ability to offer customers one-stop shopping for key melt stream components, including integrated package systems, and to protect their investment with outstanding after-the-sale support.”

The new appointees and their positions are:

Jackie Zhang, Manager of Aftermarket Sales. Mr. Zhang will lead the Nordson China team providing after-sale service, refurbishing, rebuilding, and spare parts for all PPS components. Before coming to Nordson he was manager of the aftermarket team in China for the compounding and extrusion machinery supplier Coperion. He began his industrial career in 1994 and has held production supervision, technical support, and customer service positions with several equipment companies. He holds a senior electrician degree from Shanghai CNC Engineering Technology College and a bachelors degree in business administration from Asia International Open University in Macao.

Jack Shi, Service Engineer for Pelletizers. Reporting to Jackie Zhang, Mr. Shi will provide after-sale support for BKG pelletizers. His twelve-year career in industry has consisted of service engineering roles with manufacturers of equipment and controls. He holds a degree from Shanghai Commercial Polytechnic College.

Haijian Yan, Application Engineer of Integrated Components. Mr. Yan will design integrated systems combining multiple Nordson PPS components. He comes to Nordson from Maag, a manufacturer of gear pumps, screen changers, and pelletizers, where he spent four years in design and application engineering. Previously he served in engineering roles for other pump manufacturers. He holds a degree in fluid engineering from Xihua University in Chengdu.

BingKe Shen, Sales Manager for Melt Delivery Systems. Mr. Shen will be responsible for sales of screen changers and melt pumps and will report to senior sales manager Jane Liang, another recent appointee. Previously he held engineering, technical support, and sales management positions with machinery manufacturers, including ten years with Shanghai Grande Machinery Co. He holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Donghua University in Shanghai.
